Cornwall was everything I imagined, and more.

England’s southwest coast, has intrigued me for years.

Always #1 on the list of England’s counties I wanted to explore, I finally made it there in August 2018.

It was everything I expected, and much, much more. I spent a week on the backroads in my rented car. I surveyed the desolate Bodmin Moor on the interior and fell in love with water worlds on both Cornish coasts. I spent time on wild, remote sea cliffs and in busy market towns. The tiny fishing village Mevagissey now owns my heart. Cornish seafood and cider won mypalette.

I’d like to share with you my first published Cornwall story. It’s about the most unexpected parts of Cornwall I found – the tropics.
