What a year!
2018 has filled me with gratitude. I’m a lucky gal.
Last year, I traveled like a mad woman. I spent 30-days in England and 17-days in Central Coastal California. I’ve made short getaways to San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Gualala, Point Arena, and Bodega.
I’ve met talented, inspiring, and fascinating people everywhere. I slept 50-nights in 35-hotels from sublime 5-star to one nightmare where I wouldn’t put my bag on the floor, much-less stay. Meals of every description in 150+ eateries have ranged from roadside farm stands to fine dining. I’ve enjoyed wine, beer, cider, ale, spirits, and lovely tea.
Farms, ranches, vineyards, churches, castles, oceans, rivers, mountains, and museums—food tours, history tours, boat tours, self-drive tours, walking tours, winery tours, distillery tours, discovery tours, and street art tours were on the agenda in 2018.
I’ve traveled by jumbo-jet, train, glider, canoe, tour boat, punt, kayak, bus, tram, cycle, auto, and shoe sole.
In all my travels, I have a camera in hand (see Top-12 Photos of 2018) documenting everything, but I’m also looking for an angle. It’s been a good story year. I’ve been lucky to have many pieces published in print and web.
