Covid-19, the Corona Virus, has changed existence globally. The loss of life, economic devastation, and drain on resources is epic—BUT—heroes, kindness, sharing, and love are also epic.

I’ve experienced thoughtfulness from family, neighbors and friends, unlike any I’ve experienced. Thank you to those folks and to everyone that are out there doing all they can to keep us healthy, safe, and fed.

Travel Stand-down

Travel has all but stopped. Jets are parked, restrictions on vehicle travel and public transit schedule reductions combined with ‘shelter in place’ and quarantine orders are keeping the streets and highways desolate.

Like most businesses, the travel industry is experiencing unprecedented losses. That includes people like me, journalists, and photographers. Travel bureaus have canceled media visits. Publishers have postponed stories to indefinite dates. Like many others, it affects my income.

Sofa Tours

While ‘sheltering in place, I will share some of the fantastic destinations I’ve experienced on our big blue ball. Perhaps they will inspire you to visit when our world re-opens and begins to receive guests.

I’m starting with a video of California’s Mendocino Coast, my home. This video was part of a feature story that ran October 2016 in ByWays Magazine. Click below to read about our wildlife, waves, wilderness, and wine.

Love the term “sofa tour,” been doing quite a lot of that lately. Thanks for enabling me to see a corner of the world I may not get to for a while. Beautiful photo of the fog over the water!

    1. Thank you Faye. To think, a year ago, you were only 90-minutes away from MendoLand. We’ll have to make a future plan for you to visit. –Mary
